I don’t think the green party would think of the 1700s as ideal the similarities between the left and right still existed.

My dad has been living off the grid on the big island of Hawaii for 20 years now and he STILL uses gasoline and propane in order to survive comfortably. He uses wind and solar as well but they only power his lights because they cannot generate the wattage needed to power his tv, stereo and computer. It is just not feasable unless you want to live without anything but lights and low wattage items.
