I would have been greatly enriched by not ever having read this thread.


I'm a mixed Deist/Taoist. I think determinism is bunk on a number of fronts, including free will and the origins of the Universe. Beyond that I'm in the air. I could almost go into reincarnation in the pure, Ocean of Creation type of sense where our world is a brief blip, a bubble in an endless divine stream. Although I'm not sure if I really believe in the possiblity of an eternally existing reality or metaverse. But then again, I think just trying to cope with ideas like sentience and time is freaky, much less trying to comprehend the full picture.

Also, the internet is the single greatest tool for communication and education the human race has stumbled on in our known history.
