Some periods of time are just like that...life's not all ups all the time. There are some downs and some coasting times and sometimes when things are really quiet. After a while you get to know the difference when things are just quiet and steady (what some people would consider "totally boring") and when they are the sort of quiet where you feel you might need to do something to shake things up a bit. Or, you can also learn to appreciate those moments when things are quiet. A doctor told me that he had had a conversation once with his son who said that nothing was going on and that it was boring...his father, the doc, replied, "When you see what I see all day, trust me, boring is good."
