hmmm interesting post.

I odnt know if i have been myself possesed but i can definatly recall some times when i was sure that I (meaning my own sence of consiousness, awareness etc) was not in charge. I had a dream more than once that I was floating, and that my eyes bulged out and my moluth became a gaping, fanged maw and my tounge a forked lolling thing and i just remeber an overall feeling of evil, it was disturbing, but not scary which says volumes about my views on" evil" LOL! over all it was an enjoyable experience!

I can also relate some experiences in comabt in Yugoslavia, were it felt as thoguh i had steped out of myself, perhaps it was just a combination of adrenaline and training, but it was real waht ever it was.


I have always been facinated with the physiology of possesion, or spirtual influence on the human mind. I believe that there is a profound physical/chemical process that occurs at the moment of "posseion" ( a term that needs to be defined more succinctly in order for this thesis to succed... IM WORKIN ON IT!!!) i seek an empirical answer, and i belive it can be found, heres waht i have so far...

For possesion to work, we must asume two processes are happening, one a "spiritual" , influence form outside our plane of understanding etc has to, when operating in this realm of consiousness/existance be bound by the physical rules of this plane. that is not to say that they are powerelss, quite the contrary, a force that is exemplical in this plane/dimension can influence the rules but must stil operate within them. confused? take the example of a diver. the diver is alien to the underwater world, can only exist there for a brief time and only wiht special equitpment. but while underwater a diver can manipulate things in the water, interact with life forms litteraly affect change in th environment. So would it not be the same for extra plannar forces ( excuse the DnD terminology...) The second is the percise process of change wihtin the host/recipient at the moment fo influence, the realization of the rules of this plane on the exo force

therefore, in the case of posseion, there can be a measurable change in neurochemistry at the percise moment of entry by the exo-force. Look at a Pentecostal service and a Voodoo ritual. the two could not be further apart in thier dogma, but both operate on the idea that a "spirit" or even diety will enter the participants. What is most interesting is how simillar the two ceremonies are when the moment off "possesion" takes palce and the reaction of the person(s) being possesed. So if these two philisohpically different ceremonies reveal similar results, then there must be a measurable, empirical process tha can be examined at the exact moment of the exo force entering this realm and a living host
