A Pharaoh is different from an Emperor as an Emperor is different from a King as a King is different from a Chief all your lazy semantics aside.
A Pharaoh was not a king. If anything a Pharaoh was more like an Emperor. A Pharaoh was viewed as a god who walked in mortal disguise and as such was given divine rule. A Pharaoh was most certainly not a paltry king. I cannot help if you wish to mute the distinction of thier differences
