I think he already has regeneration though...he got shot by the cop and then got up and flew away. Unless, of course, he just used his telekinesis like a bulletproof vest and absorbed the impact of the bullets.

Either way, I don't think it's a bomb; I think the guy that gives off radiation is going to overload and blow up.
