Castration? Hmmm. I think that it can work in some cases and make others much worse. They really would need a special type of MD to make a cost vs. benefit analysis on a case by case basis.
Torture for information? I believe we have a responsibility to our society to do so. Say a convicted and proven guilty terrorist has information concerning a terrible atrocity soon to take place. Why would we allow many innocents in our society to suffer and perish. This is one man who owes us a debt already from the harm he's caused and the potential danger he created through his existence. Anyone arguing FOR this man's "rights" needs to examine their motives and intent. Alot of views and argments for these people are based on "priciples" and "ethics" that look geat on paper/someone's thesis, but these things do not really apply in the cold, harsh vaccum of a impeding disaster being dealt with in the unforgiving muck of a foreign country by a patriot giving up any hope of a normal life for the greater good of his people, his nation.
