Haha... we left Afghanistan??? Seems to me like the CIA had a presence there for many years after the war with russia
If the new Iraqi Government has its way there will be no American Presence there after we leave.... and that would be a good thing.... let the middle east brew in its own defication.... we have allowed thier religious wars to effect us for too long.... let them bleed each other.... we should set up strong defensive perimeters around the middle east in countries that are our allies and let them kill each other.... they will do it far more rapidly than we can or will....
As I stated earlier.... once we catch these terrorists another group will spring up fast as they can.... you cannot win against terrorism BUT you can certainly contain it with a strong defense.
