I suppose that is respectful, but I enjoy being able to run my errands on Sundays.

I used to work through the night at a Super Wal-Mart (Super WM's are open 24-7). It was odd seeing couples bring their young children to buy groceries at 2 or 3 in the morning.

Back to topic: the stores are becoming stuffed with Christmas merchandise! It is hard to enjoy Halloween when retailers are thinking two holidays ahead.
