I have always been accustomed to working 40+ hours per week, but since beginning to work in the state where I live, I've learned that not all US states consider 40 hours full time. In this one anything over 34 is full-time. Fortunately, I'm salaried at 40 hours in my main job. My employer offers fewer paid holidays than most, but I earn 1 1/2 paid personal days per month and I receive half salary for them if I haven't used them after one year.

What is a "shopping day"?
