Freedom is the ability to defend, not only your safety and property, but your way of life. When your government is the only entity with weapons, there is no way that any type of dissent its people have need be taken seriously. I hate listening to the hippies who talk about rebellion and questioning authority, when they don't realize that if the populace is unarmed, the government is, and always will be, in total control. The American right to bear arms isnt only in place to protect my xbox from being stolen, its in place to protect ALL of my civil rights, should a corrupt government attempt to take them away from me.
