| Smith & Wesson Model 1006 -

I just picked up a 10MM S&W Model 1006 almost brand new in the box. It is a beautiful gun. S&W only saw a limited production run of 26,000 or so of these babies. Only about 16,000 were sold in the united states. So it is a fairly rare gun to find. The ammo is very expensive. I shot off 100 rounds over the weekend at about 40 bucks. Comparitively my 9MM rounds for the Glock 19 I have are only 6-8 bucks for 50 and the .40S&W rounds for my XD-40 are only about the same.
The S&W 1006 10MM is a definite manstopper. It is the only Semi-Auto pistol which closes in on Magnum force revolvers.
After shooting it I do have to say that it fires very smoothly with minimum kickback. Nothing like I thought it would fire like from my experiences with larger Magnum revolvers. I was able to punch the target right off the stand from about 45 feet, ripping it to shreds. My .40 cal. will still be my concealed choice followed by the 9mm but I am looking at options for the 1006. If anyone knows of a place that sells shoulder holsters for this size weapon pleas let me know. I have looked and looked an dcannot find anyone offering a shoulder hoster for this size and model.
