I think we all understand that televangelists are deceitful, but I do appreciate that Araya & King remind the simpletons who actually fall for TE's schemes that they have a responsibility to "read between the lines".
My stepfather is a rural preacher, and once I was disgusted when one of those little old church ladies asked him to tell her whether she should wear pantyhose to a footwashing ceremony (I said it was rural- no snake handling though).
Deceivers should be held accountable, but there is no excuse for lazy thinking either. |
