That greatly clarifies your point but I still have to dissagree; Consider that many individuals in our society make modifications to their bodies (such as getting tatoos and wearing Black make-up), with the intention of accentuating a persona that defines itself as being outside of the social norm. Even when modifications to appearence are made with the intention of generating greater appeal to societal standards of beauty this is also done on an individual level. Of course the influence of society is a factor; however, it is still the choice of the individual to decide if it is to their benifit to attempt to meet up to those standards. de vagorum ordine dico vobis iura
