Here in Utah we do not even have gun registration laws. When you purchase a firearm you get it after a 15 minute NICS check WHICH you do not even need to do if you have your Utah CWP

People who fear firearms are those who often just do not understand them. Firearms are inanimate objects which only kill when used to do so. It is only tragic when used by those who are ignorant or those who mean to cause harm.
Lets take for instance this scenario---- woman in a park gets confronted by a robber/rapist armed with a gun--- she screams and an armed CWP citizen hears her and runs over--- The armed citizen screams out with weapon drawn,"Get the fuck on the ground motherfucker and drop that gun before I blow your fucking head off!!!"-- there are 3 scenarios that now play out--- #1- the guy turns tail and runs... if he runs the citizen cannot fire at him and the perp gets away.... jogger saved..... #2- the guy drops his weapon and goes to the ground and the citizen covers him while the jogger goes for help.... jogger saved... #3- the perp turns the gun toward the citizen and the citizen places two shots into the perps abdomen and down he goes---- jogger saved....

That scenario without an armed citizen would only end in tragedy for both the citizen and the jogger......
