I just read this last post and agree mostly with Iron. I feel that there will always be enough of a polarity between men and women that people don't necessarily need tohang on extremely tightly to prescribed gender roles. I probably think this way because I believe we are here to learn and grow and becoming more whole usually does mean balancing yourself out a lot. On the other hand, I do see that because of the way the world has become structured, to change this immediately would likely cause a lot of chaos on a lot of levels.
Feminism has changed over the years. It is/was nice to have people united for a common cause, though I think it's more up to the individual anyway. "Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people."---C. G. Jung
