And I find it funny that evangelicals like you spend so much time preaching more through fear than anything else. That's the great folly of Christianity, which is why I parted ways with it 10 years ago. A religion based on a series of don'ts is only emphasizing the fact that it needs you to be extremely afraid of consequences. I hate the idea of a vengeful God; if he sends a kid to hell because he isn't baptized, I think I'll find something else to worship, since that would make him a total dickhead.
It's fantastic if you're able to live that way, and it's much easier than the alternative, but the fact of the matter is that you know just as little as everyone else in the world; you just use faith to disprove common sense, i.e. dinosaur bones.
