Another thought...you running XP? Unfortunately I have Win98, and first edition at that. So I'm rather stupid and clueless when it comes to XP. I helped a friend build a new computer yesterday and he's running XP. He calls me last night with somewhat of a similar problem, the graphics looked like crap but only in his mozilla window. Apparently if you right-click the mozilla icon on your desktop you can piss around with some color quality and screen resolution settings. Interesting, because that's not available to me on my win98. But it is for him on XP. His were set to some crappy settings by default, maybe that's your problem too. He fixed it by just somehow disabling all of that with some option in there entirely and forcing it to default to the same settings he had the rest of his resolution settings set to within windows its self. Not sure exactly what since I wasn't there and was only on the phone with him, but maybe you've got that option too and can piss around with it. |
