No... not exactly. It's a debate on all sides. I've covered this extensively in my "War on Christmas" thread. It's not just the Christians that are being unreasonable. Non-Christians are, too. And I've just heard that a pagan woman in West Virginia is lobbying for recognition of the Winter Solstice on December 21st as a holiday. She's trying to get networks to sponsor a Pagan holiday television special.
Stores aren't changing their banners to Happy Holidays because they've suddenly become open-minded and are advocating the inclusion of Kwanzaa and Hannukkah. They're changing them because non-Christian political vultures are making a stink about it.
It's not fair to dump the blame solely on the Christians. In Memory of the Busby Babes :
