I would be upset. But I wouldn't expect the WHOLE WORLD to be upset and have periods of silence every anniversary. People here do mark the the occasion, and most people here have never been to the states. American media has influenced the rest of the world to the point where "we" feel like "we" feel obliged to live like they do. (note "we" means my locals, not me).
