Gay marriage perhaps--- it is between two consenting adults and can be compared to a regular heterosexual mariage in that sense. Polygamy cannot be compared to it. Polygamy involves many more than two consenting adults and often leads to incest and pedophilia. For proof of that you just have to look at Southern Utah and northern Arizona. |
Its not the same. Its apples and oranges. Smoking pot doesnt mean that youll be forced to smoke crack or sniff heroin. You have a choice. Your comparing society at large to an individuals choices. Doesnt work.
Legalize gay marriage and you have no grounds to keep pedophelia marriages or polygamous marriages illegal. As shown here. If we get one, we get all. Or else do you advocate writing discrimination into the constitution?
