Errortrouge = Tool
I've read both of the books, and while I liked the first of the series the second left me bored and apathetic. Problem is Paolini made it WAY too predictable, by the end of the first book I had already figured out all the major 'Surprises' he had instore for the sequel.
After the VERY lengthy body of 'Eldest' with the payoff being the big reveal of the Red Dragon and his rider, (Uh DUH? Who didn't know that was coming...) it just left me wanting more. Plus I really wanted Arya and Eragon to get it on.
As for the movie, I'm looking forward to it. I like that Sienna G. has been cast for Arya and with the length of films, the boring parts of the book will hopefully be non-existant. I'll be checking this one out for sure.
P.S. Interesting Tid Bit, I live just a few miles away from Paolini. So even though I'm not a die-hard fan it's still pretty cool to have someone famous other than Peter Fonda and Ted Turner (Major Dickheads) representing South West Montana.
