Liberal, Conservative, left, right. it dont matter really. everything has its pro's and con's but when you push one too far the balance is lost and the entire country suffers no matter what.

And spain fought with religious motives (and not to forget greed) back then. They tried to convert the indians to christians. The ones who converted ended up slaves and the ones resisting ended up dead.
But the indians did accept them at first and only fought back when it was too late.
