i don't know how old this thread is but i can talk about slayer. I'd have to say they are one of the best, heaviest bands in the world now besides pantera. as for being similar, they are all good musicians, no doubt, but the lyrics of slayer really don't have much in common with metallic or megadeth. cept maybe songs like "creeping death" and "mandatory suicide"
