No doubt Saddam Hussein was a dictator, and no doubt he didn't treat his poilitical opponents very well. However, he was elected, and he wasn't a threat to anyone but his immediate neighbours.

Haha. Wait. Hitler never invaded any foriegn countries? So Poland was a fluke? As was the attempted invasion of Russia? How about Normandy? The Czechs? Denmark? Belgium? France? Or were those just friendly occupations by a foreign army?
Hitler was by no means a nice guy. Nor was he in it for anything other than World Domination. They had worldly ambitions. There were plans to invade the United States once they were through with Europe.
Mistake??? WTF are you talking about. The United States entered WW2 when we were ATTACKED by the Japanese in Pearl Harbor. Or did you forget about that little fact?
