I like the revolvers.
My everyday gun is a .38 caliber Detective Special. They are easy to carry concealed all day long. The Colt Detective Special is surprisingly accurate and the .38 Special round will get the job done if the shooter does his part.
I have had two Colt 357 revolvers, which are very uncommon as that particular model were produced back in the 1950's. It was a working man's gun, the same size and internal workings as the Python, but without the vent rib, underlug, and without the polish. Colt stopped producing this model sometime in the early 1960's.
I also owned a Colt Trooper Mk III revolver, it too was chambered in .357 Magnum. Like the Colt 357, this model was a working man's gun, it did not have the polish of the Colt Python.
Some day I am going to get the Colt Python, it is the Cadillac of handguns. Top of the line. The parts are hand polished, hand fitted as these guns are assembled. But you certainly pay for it.
