Dark slate is fucking expensive, my auntie has her kitchen kitted out in dark slate, it cost her about 3000 english sterling just for her walls. I am not sure how much it would cost in american, probably more. Expensive but good taste.

Stainless steel isn't that expensive... For appliences that is... Stainless steel stoves on the other hand range from $4000 canadian to $8000. I never seen a stainless steel fridge though.

Chrome is a nice metal and it is cheaper too from what I am aware of, its just fucking hard to keep clean. I have a chrome microwave, I have to rub it clean for hours if someone so much as touches it.
