I think its very interesting that the English people responding to this thread say it was a justified killing, while the Americans tend to think it wasn't.
Personally, I don't think it was justified, but I can understand why it happened. Its a tragedy, and its going to play hell on the already troubled relations with Muslims.

I actually think that is their point. If the terrorists can get a few more innocent brown people shot, they are eventually going to make the non-extremist muslims choose a side. And they are going to have to choose between white people who shoot them, or fellow muslims... its not a bad recruiting strategy.
