I went to a public pool today. I haven't had a proper, lane-style swim for seven years, due to having to keep a small child from drowning.
I did 1km, and my legs started disobeying as walked back to my car, and the steering wheel felt like it weighed a ton.

Anyway, it was a great pool. A little shabby, but cheap, and populated by old ladies with flowery bathing caps and old men that sung in the shower afterwards. Definitely going back.
