Actually, a better analogy would be using the scoring system of a different game.
It'd still work, but might seem a bit weird to someone not used to it.

Okay, so there are commercials where you see a young couple living in a mansion, yet virtually nobody that age could afford something so expensive. It must mean that mansion doesn't exist, right?
I don't know what possibility is worse: either you were stupid enough to actually think along those lines, or you were enough of a jerk just to say stuff like that just to get on someone's nerves.
