You both are looking at it from different cultural perspectives so neither of you can be right or wrong. However, using a measure of foresight and taking what would later be a classical historical perspective...we all know the war for one side is for preserving the Islam ic faith and an attempt to retain the only resource (oil) of economic control they have to barter with in the market while the other side is strictly for greed. Democracy and justice and religion are just ideals being used as fodder and it's blantently obvious from any point of view. The totalitarian gov't of the Middle Eastern gov't was only a desperate reaction to regain what was stolen back in the colonial period. And the continual interference by the West is only scratching the wound but now it's imperative that the West stay involved because the Middle East is in sucha fragile state....very convenient for the West, I might add.

I can't believe people still have disputes over this....
