I liked this much better. This seems to have more thought out... there is definitely more love and care taken with the actions and the characters. But what really sold me was some of the imagery:

“Wake up my lover! I need you to tell me if you’re going to be a daddy?!” He rolled over, tumbling on top of her, pinning her below him. He smiled wickedly watching her settle below, a touch of sunshine now breaking through the slit of curtains.

It almost seems metaphorical there... was that intentional?

It makes me dizzy with nostalgia... now I'm back missing the Neverending Story stuff.
