so, basically, my station wants to rehire me for another year... and sent me my 'confidential' contract.

in it, they have my net salary... and underneath, they have my gross salary with all the health benefits listed under it.

so... how it works is, im worth 8 dollars an hour with benefits and taxes taken out... 11 dollars in hour without all that rot.

i remember a time when those used to be appealing wages. now i'm looking at my bills and my (few) pleasures and wondering why i have two jobs... all whilst thanking my lucky stars i HAVE this contract in my hand in this tanking economy.
