Why was she so defensive? Just to be absoultely sure, how was the tone of your voice when you mentioned it (Just excluding possibilities) if your tone was odd then she might have been able to intuit it. If she said it after you have mentioned the nature of the dream, she may have just felt on trial (again just excluding options and unless you've had 7 years of trial practice remembering the precise order of an argument is not very easy).
If these ar enot the case then what doe sit tell you about her conscious and intentions.... I beleive that's what you call a freudian slip. Saying what you really mean or feel when trying to hide it behind something else.
