If I may, I'd like to drag it back to a couple of orignal points.

I got married as a teen, my mother and grandmother and almost everyone else were also virtually children, but they moved in with their parents in law, they were part of the community that Sphyre mentioned, not living out there on their own, trying to raise children without support. The West doesn't have the support network needed for kids to get married and have kids themselves.

Sixx mentioned that there are paedophiles in other countries too, I assume meaning that some people think it's just a western thing, and I just thought I'd share about a nurse I know whose brother in law had his testicles hacked off by a machete after being caught with an underage girl. Nothing happened to the castrator. A Pakistani friend of mine's little male cousin was abused by his teacher. The teacher was almost beaten to death by the boy's father. I'm sure they probably get it worng some times, but there's not usually smoke without fire, and I know that on both of the occasions I mentioned, the adult was caught in the act.
Mob rule and justice in other countries, coupled with laws that are lenient on those seeking revenge, means that minors are usually more protected.

Most western kids have no idea about what's best for them. They're usually cut off from real life, get to attend the luxury of school, don't have to scrape a living together for themselves and feel the weight of respnsibility until much later than kids in the rest of the world, and this should be reflected in the laws that govern whether they can have sex or not. Sex not only equals a loss of innocence and the introduction of a means of manipulation, but no contraception is 100%, and judging by the amount of teen pregnancies in the west, it's 0% effective if they don't use it.

A twelve year old might be mature enough to pass a test to measure their sexual maturity, they might even be mature anough to get up countless times in the night with a child without losing it, but the chances are if that child is disabled or needs advocation in the grown up world of teachers and social officials, they won't be up to the job.

I'd like to know if he has a daughter, and if he'd be happy with her being declared sexually mature as a child, and free to have sex with any twenty, thirty, fourty, or fifty year old she wanted.
