i have a friend of mines, who has just a slight gland problem, only diff is, she has the one that keeps the weight off! she can eat like a horse (not that she does!) and not put on a pound..she was actualy losing weight for a while, but i think the docs put her on something, or it just settled itself (not sure if that is even possible though.)
