it would also be better if someone posted something about a band/song and they weren't flamed incessently. if you disagree with someone's tastes, then fine, but mass amounts of flaming is ridiculous and ALSO tedious to read and reflects (antihero)'s number 1 and 2 things (being cool and post count)..

i'm glad that a lot of you people here listen to far out obscure-dark-morbid "the world doesn't understand me" music and whatever.... a lot of stuff i don't know but once i give it a listen, i still don't trash it (incessently)...

i think the people on this site need to learn how to disagree with other people's tastes without killing the motivation to post here. the Music section seems to be the only section on this board that suffers in this way. Mainly cause it's so easy to say someone utterly sucks cause they listen to some lame country artist or Avril Lavigne.

I vehemently HATE Avril Lavigne, but even if my g/f started to listen to that snooty pop bitch, I wouldn't condemn her. If one of my bandmates started listening to her, I wouldn't kick him from the band. I'd seperate myself from what I don't like about their tastes and work with what I can with what I DO like about them.

In other words, the failure of the Music section is more than that lame "what are you listening to?" thread. It's that people here are so fucking proud of who they are for some god awful reason. You're all not that cool, just so you know. You're just a dick or a cunt like the rest of us in this world. You're NOT cool by association to this or that band. You're cool because you can fucking respect certain differences in this world and still maintain who you choose to be.
