The root of the question is more of an issue of how we 'learn', and thus 'when' we learn. The idea smacks a bit of the Old debate between a priori knowledge and 'tabula rasa'.
How do babies "know" to cry, how do you "know" you exist, and so forth and so on. Do we come to attain knowledge by pulling on information already in our brains, or do we experience a bunch of things and then piece together our experiences into knowledge? |
