I just thought I'd introduce everyone to Marty McConnell. She's a poet out of NYC. I had the pleasure of helping to book an engagement for her at Spokane Community College. She is absolutely amazing in a live reading. She's often labeled a slam poet, but I don't think that sort of pigeon-holing really does her (or any poet) justice.
