i find the problem with novels, they take too long to write, and i've had several different people suggest going the short story route...allowing you time to get the novel ready to submit, and perhaps building a name for yourself in the meantime...*shrugs* i heard that's how it worked for stephen king.

Do you think if anyone wrote a famous author, they'd offer publishing advice?
