"but remember there is always somebody better than you"
and not worded like
"but remember you are always better than somebody"
see the difference.....
the first would be likely to motivate you harder to continue practicing
the second however is likely to make you be content with what you have acheived thinking to yourself "oh well i may as well quit seeing as im better than at least somebody"
so if you look at both the positive and negative aspects of it you get two totaly different meanings so i dont see how they can be related to each other. Fear is fake, it was created by humans and serves us no purpose...
