We don't "need" war - especially not just so we can give the movie and video game industry something to make money out of. That is a child's view of the world - one which totally ignores the suffering and misery that war creates, and is little more than stamping your feet and saying "well, I want it cos I want my video games and movies".

And I think you'll find that there were more war movies around in the late 40s and 50s than there are now - you're not desensitised - that's just a cop-out. You are responsible for your actions and your statements - don't try and blame the bloody movies or your favourite video game for how you are.
