I always onder why people talk about this kind of thing in terms of 'personal privacy.' It isn't personal privacy that's the problem, it's the fact that this kind of information could, by an undemocratic government, be used to control the population. I don't see this a problem with Bush, but why set yourelf up for a fall later? 'If we take in our hand any volume; of divinity or school metaphysics, for instance; let us ask, Does it contain any abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number? No. Does it contain any experimental reasoning, concerning matterof fact and existence? No. Commit it then to the flames: for it contains nothing but sophistry and illusion.'
