I think that the campaign should be national and all the votes cast on the same day. It's a national office they're aiming for, after all, so should be contested on national issues. That would ensure that each candidate develops a national policy, and would prevent any kind of 'front runner' distortions. Is there any particular reason why it's all staggered, except that it has always been done that way? 'If we take in our hand any volume; of divinity or school metaphysics, for instance; let us ask, Does it contain any abstract reasoning concerning quantity or number?
