You evidently don't know much about Kerry.
He has more "positions" that a stock broker. And they change by the week.
As to gay marriage, the reason that a lot of us resist it is simply because of the can of worms that it opens.
Under our constitution, if it is looked upon as "equal protection" AKA 14th amendment, then what are you gonna say to the Mormons, who want more than one wife? What are you gonna say to the mother who wants to marry her son so that he can get her social securety surviver benefits? Or to the screwball who wants to marry his cat? or his goat?
