anyway, news update from sweden. loeb becomes the first nonscandanavian driver to win the rally despite gronholm's attempt to pick the lead back up. martin led in the ford up until stage 11 where he caught a large rock hidden in a snowbank, ripping his rear tire clear off. despite tripoding, he managed to get back to service for the much needed repairs. petter solberg rounded out the top three.

next up is the rally of mexico. unfortunately my bastard of a friend is going to the caribbean for a vacation then over to catch the rally. retired multiple champion tommy makinen has favored spaniard carlos sainz for the win. mexico has also dropped the new recce system of covering all the stages to be run in the morning as it would not work with the length of stages and the way they where arranged. for other info and what vague picture gallery they've been keeping, go to
