I have never once said I want marriages to no longer have any form of worth or overall "bonus" for being.

I am for allowing same-sex marriages.
Hell, Amendment 14 of the US Constitution allows for same-sex marriages.
However you're the one who doesn't want them to be able to get married.

You haven't given a good reason why, and for some obscure reason you believe that the fact that you wish to discriminate against them isn't on par with the basic racist feelings of many of the more die-hard bigots of today.
