Poetry Challenge: Observation
This often helps me get the writing going, and might take a bit more time than previous challenges...
Sit for a while, 10, 20, 30 minutes, hell, as long as you can afford, and just people watch. Don't talk to anybody, just sit there, and watch people go about their business. Watch their reactions to their conversations. Watch the expressions on their faces. Really feel the environment.
Write your thoughts down as you observe them, or save them in your head, and then write a poem about it. In these early stages I don't think length is an issue, just go with it, and see what comes out. Don't Drink and Park. Accidents cause people.
