Haven't you heard of SLAPP suits ("Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation") - hence a lawsuit designed to try and 'reduce' your 'First Amendment Rights'.

What is a SLAPP Suit?

SLAPP stands for "Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation"

What that means in a nutshell is: A lawsuit is brought against an individual or organization to basically "shut them up". If an individual is speaking out on a certain subject. In my case, the abuse of women by Bill Snyder and the cover up of this activity by Clifford C. Christ and NavCom Defense Electronics.

The suit is aimed at "chilling your participation", curbing your opinions, in an attempt stop your right of free speech. The California Anti-SLAPP Project is an organization that fights and reports on SLAPP suits and believes in the First-Amendment rights of individuals to voice their opinions. The following descriptions are a part of their information posted on the Internet.

While some SLAPP's are ultimately unsuccessful and can be thrown out of court if the Judge believes that the suit has no merit and is being brought only to harass and intimidate an individual into keeping quiet. Even if a SLAPP suit is dismissed, the damage of being sued can be profound. Legal fees can ruin an individual.
