I would just like to start out by saying everyone is entitled to their own opinoin and here is mine.
I was baptized and confirmed as a christian (methodist and lutheran) and I am apart of a church that doesn't make me a believer or a better person. However, I can't deny that there a thousands(more or less) of religions with different beliefs then my own. I don't know if i am certain that christianity is the true religion, but that isn't really the question that should be asked. The question should be how can religion be an illusion when millions of people believe in budda, god, satan, etc... This all comes down to your faith and your belief no one can make you a believer you have to be open-minded enough to take something at face value without the proof looking you right in the face. Many have problems and so do I believing in something that is almost fantasy, but the human race does this all the time and not just with religion. If religion is an illusion then love, truth, and whatever else you take at face value has to be also an illusion.
Please don't take what I have said and make it out to be some bashing of your ideas that differ from my own because I'm not doing that I was just excersing my freedom of speech. I really enjoy religious debates and questions because this is a subject that is a never ending battle. You can never prove it wrong or right no matter how good your explanation or reasoning is. This is the beauty of religion it gives us a topic to talk argue/talk about.
